The Glenbrook Breakfast club runs before school opening at 8.00am and is located in the school hall. It provides young people with a nutritious breakfast at a cost of 50p per day. Our club not only offers breakfast for all pupils – we also include activities such as games and art and crafts.
The Club provides breakfast for children who might start the school day without having eaten. They help to reduce lateness or poor attendance and improve attitude, behaviour and motivation to learn. It also allows working parents to leave their children knowing they will have a healthy breakfast before school starts.
Healthy choices are offered, providing the opportunity for children to sample and develop preferences and eat healthily.
This term Glenbrook Primary Breakfast Club is being supported by the Cares For Kids Breakfast Club Charity.
‘Cares For Kids is a unique charity set up for Nottingham City to support parents and carers to give their primary school aged children a good start to the day by providing a healthy free breakfast to those that need it most. A partnership of Business in the Community, businesses, One Nottingham, schools and volunteers are changing these children’s lives and raising their aspirations. We have all come together to create Breakfast Clubs which are giving children the best start to the day.’
